Hakutaka Miyake Shoten

白鷹三宅商店

We have run our business at "Oharaimachi" in front of the shrine gate along the Isuzu River flowing from the Jingu Shrine, and in our fourth generation. We are grateful for the patronage of visitors from all over Japan.

We are grateful for the patronage of visitors from all over Japan. Fishermen came to celebrate the return of their boats, farmers to thank for the harvest, and even those who were in the middle of a trip due to heart broken. We have witnessed many milestones in the lives of many people. We would like to continue to welcome you with great care.

There are different original "company crest" designs used on the Noren (curtains) and Masu (a square wooden cup) of Hakutaka Miyake Shoten: one is inspired by the "Kamiji Mountain" of the Jingu forest, and the other is the "Isuzu River" flowing from the mountain, in both Japanese and modern designs, expressing our gratitude to nature.

Hakutaka Nigorizake "Ise Pilgrimage Shiroki"

"Nigorizake" is a Japanese sake with a cloudy White color. It is strained through a coarse cloth when the mash is pressed, leaving the sediments behind, which gives it a cloudy white color. You can enjoy the mellow flavor and aroma unique to Nigorizake. It is sold in limited quantities and is usually sold out before summer. The letters of "Ise Pilgrimage Shiroki" was written by the founder, Masao Miyake, who was loved by customers and used his brush as if he were drawing a picture.

Daily Morning and
Evening Oomikesai

Oomikesai is a ritual in which daily morning and evening meals are offered to the deity of Ise Jingu twice a day. In Mikeden (Hall for Deities' Meal) of Gegu (Outer Shrine), prayers and thanksgiving are offered to the deities of Naigu (Inner Shrine), Gegu (Outer Shrine), and Betsugu (Separate Shrine). This ritual has been practiced for more than 1,500 years since Outer Shrine was built. Shinsen (meals for the deities) is composed of rice, dried bonito flakes, fish, seaweeds, vegetables, fruits, salt, water, and sake.

Mie's Local Sake

Mie Prefecture is long and narrow from north to south, with the Ise Plain in the center, Ise Bay and the Kumano Sea to the east, and the Kii Mountains, including the Suzuka Mountains and the Oodai Mountains. Thanks to this topography, the area is blessed with an abundance of fresh water, abundant harvests, cold winters, and a climate conducive to the production of fine Sakes. As it has been called "Miketsukuni (a country providing special foods)" since ancient times, it is a treasure trove of high-quality foods, such as Ise lobsters, abalones, and Matsusaka beef.

Hakutaka Miyake Shoten "Rei"

We are newly starting under the name "Rei". We took the name from our previous famous landlady, "Reiko". The character "Rei" is composed of "the shape of a stand for offering ancient things to the deity" and "the shape of a serving table for serving Amazake (sweet Sake)," and has the meaning of "ceremony," "gift," and "honor," which is what Hakutaka Miyake Shoten wants to express.
